Extreme Weather, San Diego style

A few weekends ago there was a severe weather advisory in San Diego and Valley Center was abuzz. They said it could snow as low as 1000 feet (our house is at 1500 ft) so this was quite exciting. As usual, the storm was completely underwhelming and although we got a little hail and rain at night, it blew over pretty quickly. Grace had heard the forecast and was really excited about the possibility of snow, so she enjoyed running around and picking up the hail that had collected in the wheelbarrow and running around examining the frost in the morning.

This last picture is there for two reasons:
1) I know Dick enjoys a good picture of our dogs.
2) I thought the ground would look a little whiter if the black dog was there for contrast. I think it achieved the goal rather nicely.
