38 weeks

Last Friday I was officially 38 weeks or two weeks away from my due date. We went to a baseball game with our church and The Chapel and had a great time. Before we left, I thought we should take some pictures, as I hadn't taken any for a while.

If you still haven't given your opinion and would like to, you can take the survey here on when you think our baby is coming.

Did I mention I have been a little warm lately?

Sticks and stones may break my bones

We have been having a lot of work done at our house lately. At some point I should post pictures, but I really try to avoid being outside as it is really hot out there. So if you would like to see the improvements around here, give us a call and come on up for a visit. :)

The last thing we have done is having a ton of gravel dumped in the back yard. As it is too hot to grow grass, and the dirt is hard and gets everywhere, we thought this would be a way to keep the dirt down, as well, as more aesthetically pleasing.

A dump truck came and left a giant pile of gravel in our back yard. Gunnar and Grace got to work spreading the rocks around. This was yet another great opportunity to use the "pregnancy card". I did have flashbacks of my dad using opportunities like that to tell us the benefits of going to college.
Look at the little helper. She thought it was fun, bless her heart. :)
Just for the record, I didn't slack the whole time they were working. I worked hard at brewing some ice tea, to feed my recent ice tea addiction. :)
They did take a short break to play a little king of the mountain, as anyone would do in that situation.
Gunnar helped Grace down, and I really like the pictures. Especially the first one, becuase it shows that you don't need a green pasture in order to frolick.
Gunnar worked tirelessly for hours on the pile, and you really couldn't tell a diffrence. Other than the blisters he incured, that is. Thankfully, our kind neighbor Rodger came to the rescue with his back hoe. Who says their aren't perks to living in the country? I mean who else knows someone who even knows what a back hoe is?

Somehow in a very short time, he got all the gravel spread. Way to go, good neighbor!

Corvette Dinner and mini vacation

I know, I know, I am a horrible blogger. Believe it or not, I have been hot and tired, and not really into updating my blog.

Today I finally got around to downloading pictures off my camera, so I thought I might as well post them, because I am sure you all are dying to know what has been going on at our house.

A couple weeks ago, we took a mini-overnight vacation to Pt Loma. It was great to get out of the heat and to have some family time. We went to the Corvette Diner for dinner and had a great time. Grace loved it! We were in the 60's theme room. Grace was just bummed that we didn't get sung happy birthday, so we will have to make it back there on someone's birthday one of these days. That night Grace was having trouble getting to sleep, so Gunnar made her a special "princess fort bed" under the table in the hotel room. She loved it, and was super excited to sleep there. :)
I know, three pictures isn't a lot, but I will have another couple most coming out in the next week or so, so please, stay tunned. :)
