Friday night we were headed down to San Diego to have dinner with my mother-in-law and then head to a wedding of our dear friend Coree. Shortly after getting on the freeway, we heard an odd noise coming from the car. This is usually not a good thing, so we pulled off on the next exit to check it out. Thankfully there was a gas station with a service center right there, so it was really handy timing, under the circumstances.
Grace and I waited in the car as Gunnar checked things out.
Were didn't have a whole lot to do. :)
Gunnar on the other hand stayed busy doing what guys do in these situations. Looking under the hood and all that. He foudn that a belt was broken that should not have been broken and we needed to get it fixed. He called Dave for a ride.
At this point, my camera battery died, which may have been a blessing in disguise for all you blog readers out there, as who really wants to see any more pictures taken out of shear bordom?
So instead of taking more pictures in the car, we decided to head over to Starbucks to wait for our ride. Grace was actually way more excited about being at Starbucks than she looks in this picture (which, by the way, was taken on Gunnar's cell phone).
After hearing back from Dave, it was still going to be a while, and we had already killed a lot of time in Starbucks. Lucky for us, the only other thing around there was a sushi restaraunt. So we headed over to wait and eat some yummy sushi. It was a nice consolation prize.
Gunnar tends to over do it on the Wasabe. You would think after making this face a bunch of times he would tone it down, but I think he actually enjoys the pain. :)
Dave ended up getting there and giving us a ride home. The car was done and ready for pick up the next morning, so we are good to go now!
