1st annual Turkey Trot

My amazing sister Maria has recently gotten into running. Gunnar has been super excited about this, as until now, he has been the only runner in the Hilton side of the family. So they decided to have the first annual 10K Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning, on my grandpa's road.

My grandparents home is out in the country. It is beautiful and COLD in the morning, but they decided to go for it. They mapped and marked the miles on the road in chalk the night before, so that morning they were ready to go.

Gunnar had brought along some jelly energy stuff. It looked nasty, and Maria seemed to agree.

I went down to the road to see them off so I could take their picture and then went back to the warm house.
Getting ready....
And their off!

After a while, my mom and dad and Grace and I walked down to the road to meet them on their way back. We clapped for them as they jogged back towards us.
Finally done, they still had smiles on their faces! Beats me how or why one would smile after running that long, but they seemed to have fun. :)
