Cousin fun!

We were so thankful to have our niece Jenny and nephew Nick come visit yesterday. After hanging out around the house, we went to the Wild Animal Park to see the lights and the animals. We took the tram ride around, but it was pretty dark by then so we it was hard to see the animals.
Nick brought a bunch of change and bought Grace some food to feed the ducks. Grace loves feeding ducks so she thought that was great.
He also gave her a bunch of change to throw in the buckets to get some stickers. She didn't really get the throwing concept, but took each one up and dropped it in the bucket. Not only was it a good way for Nick to get rid of his change, but Grace found it very entertaining. :)

After the Wild Animal Park we came back to the house and hung out and had hot tea and coffee to warm up. We had a wonderful time with Jenny and Nick and were so thankful that they were able to come down and visit!

It's a jungle out there

We went to the Wild Animal Park this morning to go for a walk. Even though we have spent a lot of time at the zoo, we never have really gotten too familiar with the Wild Animal Park.

We decided to try out the Kilimanjaro Safari Walk to see what it was like. If the goal had been to see a lot of animals, it would have been very disappointing.

Since our goal was to get some fresh air

and spend some time together as a family, we had a great time.

We loaded Grace up in the stroller and took off. Being the good parents we are, we of course made sure she had plenty of provisions for along the way.

We did stop momentarily to allow her to sit on the back of a wild creature.

My favorite part of the walk was the botanical gardens. It reminded me of the woods and was shady and cool, which was a nice break from the walk in the sun. Since I am still in the "honeymoon stage" with my new camera, of course I took a bunch of pictures.
