Let's go Padres, Let's go!!

We just got home from a family day at the ball park. Now, if you know me in the least, you probably know that it baseball isn't exactly my hobby. But going to the game is always interesting, especially since the down town ballpark. It is a good excuse to spend the day together as a family, and thankfully for me, it also is a good excuse to spend some time in one of my very favorite places, Downtown San Diego. We in San Diego pride ourselves on being from "America's finest city" and whenever I am downtown I am reminded why. Especially on days like today where it is warm with a cool breeze and the skyline contrasting with the beautiful blue sky. I love all the hustle and bustle of the city! I absolutely love walking down town so it redeems sitting through a baseball game, just to spend some time there.

Grace seems to have inherited my love for people and action as she does really well in large crowds and places with a lot of activity. She was a little scared at the fireworks that went off with the first home run, but aside from that she loved the whole experience. By the end of the game she was cheering at "Trevor time" and high fiveing Gunnar when they won. She kept saying "Go Padres" but I am not at all sure she had any idea what that meant. She enjoyed sitting on Gunnar's shoulders for the 7th inning stretch, although by that time she was pretty tired.
Grace was particularly a fan of all the food (hot dog and frozen lemon-aid) and of all the babies in our section. I took pictures of her eating, but figured the people in our section really didn't want me taking pictures of Grace pointing at them nursing their babies, so spared them (and you!).Grace is still asleep, passed out from all the excitement. I am tired but so thankful. Thankful for the time with the G's I love, thankful for the beautiful day and thankful that I live in such a beautiful place!
