My mom and Maria came up for a birthday sleepover and brunch to celebrate my Mom's birthday last weekend. Grace was of course, beyond excited, and put my mom right to work reading her books. Elizabeth isn't sure she is into book reading yet, but she is a good sport and is pretty happy no matter what she is doing.
Saturday morning, the rest of my siblings came up and we had brunch. We each brought something that began with the same letter as our name. I brought Apple Juice (as my name is Anna Jean). Grace brought Granola, Maria brought a Mango tart, Ann brought Almond scones....you get the picture. Gunnar was actually at a speaking engagement that morning on behalf of Alternatives Woman Center, where he is now on the board. Otherwise, he would have brought Grapes.
It was a gorgeous day so we sat out on the porch and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Grace enjoyed playing with her cousin and best buddy Elena. They absolutely adore each other and it is so much fun to watch them interact.
Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her Auntie and Uncle, and working on her incredibly charming smile, that she has gotten quite good at recently.
We had a couple minutes of down time before our next party, so I took a couple pictures of the birthday girl and my girls.
